The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in English and Communications for Business is a 60-credit Ofqual regulated qualification and is the equivalent level to an A Level. It has been designed for learners who wish to progress to a business or management degree and may not have the traditional entry qualifications usually required.

The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in English and Communications for Business is designed to provide you with highly appreciated English and communication skills and the potential expertise to work in this environment. Module Structure

  • ATHE Level 3 Diploma in  English and Communications for Business 60-credit qualification.
  • Learners must complete all 5 mandatory units.  
Unit 1: Business Communications (5 credits) 

This introductory unit aims to ensure learners understand the range of business communications which occur and their importance for business success  

Unit 2: Mobile and Digital Business Communications (10 credits) 

This unit aims to develop knowledge and understanding of professional communication in today’s increasingly global, digital, social mobile world and the impact of new digital technologies on business communication.

Unit 3: Verbal and Non-Verbal Business Communications (15 credits) 

This unit aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the conventional verbal and non-verbal professional communications used in businesses.

Unit 4:  Business English: Reading and Writing (15 credits)  

This unit aims to develop the learner’s competencies when using Business English for reading and writing purposes.  

Unit 5:  Business English: Speaking and Listening (15 credits)  

This unit aims to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in the use of Business English for speaking and listening purposes.

Applicants must be over 16 years old and meet one of the following criteria: has recently been in education or training, has 5 or more GCSEs at grades C and above or Grade 4 and above. Additionally, if English is not your first language, you'll need an IELTS score of 5.5 or CEFR level B2 (or equivalent).

This diploma is a Level 3 ATHE Professional qualification, accredited with a qualification number (QN) of 603/7244/8. It comprises 360 Guided Learning Hours (GLH), carries 60 credits, and represents 600 Total Qualification Time (TQT). This qualification is recognized both in the UK and internationally.

To apply, submit a completed application form provided by Award Academy within a month of enrolment. Along with the form, you must provide proof of educational qualifications, and language proficiency. Your application will then be reviewed for eligibility.
